Severance
This might come as a surprise, but I do watch things other than anime. Severance is absolutely incredible. I’m not going to spoil what happened in season one or in season two, but it is basically about imagine if you did not have to deal with your work life, if you can just split your personality and have that other personality do the work for you while you get to enjoy the wonders of your life outside of work and how that can affect different types of people in different types of situations. That’s basically as far as I’ll go with the with it with it. And it’s absolutely incredible.
Also the way they have ended season two is so exciting. It was one of those shows that after every episode, me and my girlfriend were just constantly theorizing. And she’s not that type of person who will theory-craft after every show, but this show encouraged us both to throw ideas at each other of what is happening.
They do such a great job of adding a lot of mystery. And it’s just so good. So I just want to give my shout out to Severance. I know I’m not going to be doing an extremely long discussion or a spoiler about it, but it’s just truly a beautifully fantastic show. Honestly, check out one of my favorite podcasts Japan Time talk about spoilers for Severance since most of their thoughts reflect my own.

Zenless Zone Zero
I made an entire review of Zenless Zone Zero during my first 15 hours of the game. Honestly, this was one of my experiments on like, hey, maybe I should just do discussion videos like this. Really my actual test was when I was doing Final Fantasy 14 Discussion videos. I digress. The reason why I’m bringing this up is because I wanted to return to Zenless Zone Zero and see what’s going on with it. I really did it for the furry. She is goddamn gorgeous. And I just had to pull for this character. OK, I just had to.

Luckily, I had a bunch of things saved up, so I didn’t even have to worry about it. But I haven’t played a Hoyoverse game in over seven months. And I was wanting to get back into it because I kind of was burned out by the game, because look, all these Hoyoverse games, they’re they’re extremely high quality. But at a certain point, I want to see something different. And for me, I don’t like things that have no end. And so I got burned out on all these Hoyoverse games because it’s just like it’s endless and they’re making more games.
So it’s like, am I just going to be playing more Hoyoverse games that just don’t end and I can’t enjoy other games in my life anymore? So after not feeling burned out, I went back to Zenless Zone Zero because I heard that 2.0 was pretty fantastic.
But after a while, I realized that I don’t think I like this game. There are elements I really like about it. Obviously, the character designs are gorgeous. The art design is gorgeous. But look, I don’t want to grind for characters. I’m still at level 30. I don’t even know how to increase my player rank so that I can upgrade my other playable characters. And I’m going through the story and my eyes are glazing over.
I’m not willing to continue giving this game more of my time for the story to be enjoyable for myself. I could be playing Star Rail or Genshin instead. Also although the combat is really great. As someone who loves action combat games, there is something that this game does that is specifically meant for people who don’t play action games, which is slowing down the game so you can chain attack with another character.
This was really cool when I first started playing this game. However, the more I play it, and especially since I’m someone who I beat Devil May Cry V for the first time, a couple of months ago. I played Nier Automata like even longer months ago. Those games do a really good job of making sure that the flow of combat is consistent, but with this slow down, it breaks the flow of the game completely for me.
I think Honkai Impact 3rd actually does this mechanic perfectly where your characters will indicate that they are ready for a chain attack, but the game does not slow down for you to make that choice.
Now they have like a manual mode for chain, but I’ve turned it on and off and it doesn’t seem to fix this particular issue where the game slows down. Either way, I don’t hate the game, but instead of spending time working around the game, I should just play something else.

Monster Musume
The next thing I want to talk about is Monster Musume Life Is Fantastic. Now I did write about Monster Girls Have Taken Over My Life. Go ahead and check out that video. I originally said that I wanted to make a sequel to this video because the reason why I stuck around & continued to play the game was because I found it really fun. It feels like an old school web game.
At the moment, I’m apart of the number 1 guild on the server thanks to the massive whales Pigeon & Pika Pika. Pika Pika is the insane whale who spent the first 30 days just whaling on everything.
Now, I’ve only spent ten-ish dollars on this game. So definitely not the hundreds that Pigeon and Pika Pika have. Pika for sure has spent like maybe nearly a thousand. Pigeon, probably like a hundred to two hundred to three hundred based off like how quickly they level and how quickly they move up in the ranks, which moved our. .. Now, which moved our guild. It’s called Wet Willy. I’ll explain why. But that this guild is number one. You can see that our total points is two hundred and thirty one million compared to everyone else, which is not even at a hundred million. And that is strictly because of Pika Pika.

Now, at some point, Pika Pika just was like, I’m done with this game. And just after spending thousands of dollars within a month, they just freaking left, which left Pigeon to carry his slack. And Pigeon has been doing a lot. And when you leave, when you are inactive for about three days, the guild can then vote on a new party leader, which was Pigeon. And then Pigeon ended up changing and changing our name to Wet Willy. So, you know. But either way, I have been greatly enjoying this game.
There was something I couldn’t show you before. But when you win certain events, you get to own a property. And these are all the properties you get to own. I won an event called the Delivery Event. Now, I didn’t know how it worked and neither did anyone else. So somehow I even beat the person who was a whale because no one knew how this dumb Delivery Event worked. But hey, I now have Gigas and I get to earn rewards. Well, everyone gets to earn rewards, but essentially, I get this 20% XP boost on traits when I win a dojo battle. And then I can give these other permits to other guilds throughout the game, which is really cool. And then this also I also like earn passive rewards for the things I own as well. It’s just overall it’s very good.
You can also I also like have automatic quest jobs being done as well for people to join in. It’s just it’s super, super cool. So I won that and I was very happy about that. But then you’re asking, right? It has been we are nearly close to the two month mark and I am still playing this game. But you’re probably wondering, did I even get to level 11 by the time I did? Yes I did. As of March 13th, I got 4290, which is $42 or $43 dollars.
Now, obviously, since I did spend about ten ish dollars on the game, I honestly didn’t earn that full amount, but I did successfully get to 11. So that’s great!

Sakamoto Days
I was recommended Sakamoto Days to read by a real friend, I swear I still have those. It is goofy & a ton of fun! I love the concept of we have this like this assassin hit man who falls in love one day and decides to give up his life of being a hit man to be a family man. And it’s because his wife doesn’t want him to do any more killing that he leaves the hit man life.
I love the dynamic that he is constantly thinking that he is killing people and then it’s just like a fake imagination or whatever. But it’s very cool. It’s very fun. However, after volume one, I don’t see this manga ending. We’re actually getting introduced to new and new characters, some that know Sakamoto, some that aren’t related to Sakamoto, but Sakamoto has helped out in the past.
This is just in a forever manga with a very fun repeatable formula. It is funny hearing this from the One Piece manga reader, but I don’t want everything to be One Piece. I enjoyed what I enjoyed a volume one of Sakamoto Days. I don’t know if I’m going to continue enjoying that for however many volumes Sakamoto Days is currently at. You know, I like there to be some sort of story progression, some sort of larger plot involved.
