FAVORITE GAMES FROM 2011

There are way too many good games.

  1. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: I can’t stop playing Skyrim. So much Skyrim. Dragons. 200 hours. Agh. Skyrim! SKYRIM! FUS RO DAH!
  2. Saints Row: The Third: SR3 is the definition of a video game ass video game. It’s crazy, amazing, fantastic and hilarious. You gotta play SR3.
  3. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword: I had a lot of problems with Skyward Sword, but as a Zelda fan. The story and characters were enough to turn my hate into love.
  4. Deus Ex: Human Revolution: It’s Cyberpunk and it’s amazing.
  5. Portal 2: Valve knows how to make a sequel and Portal 2 does not disappoint. From the writing to the gameplay. Portal 2 is nearly perfect in every aspect.
  6. Bastion: The story is incredible. The Narrator has such a soothing voice. The items are plentiful and fun. It’s amazing this game was made on a small indie budget.
  7. Rusty Hearts: Sure, it’s a grindy generic hack n’ slash free-to-play game, but it’s incredibly fun to play.
  8. Rock of Ages: Rock of Ages is a combination of Monty Python’s paper cutout animations and historical figures getting crushed by rocks.
  9. Sonic Generation: I don’t know what to think about this game, but it feels like a Sonic game. It’s the Sonic game I always wanted with a combination of the Sonic game I didn’t want. Sega has done Sonic right. I’m glad.
  10. Minecraft: As I write this, I don’t feel excited for Minecraft anymore, but looking back at how much I played Minecraft in 2011. This game is deserving of a spot on my Top 10.
